I'm a brunette and am hispanic and I use the "Golden tan". I don't have rosacea BUT have a lot of sun damage and it blends and covers great!

Any of the Bare Mineral foundations would work well (I prefer the basic foundation over matte), so long as you can blend it to your skin tone. I would recommend trying them out for yourself at a makeup store such as Sephora or Ulta — then come back to skinstore.com and get the deals they provide. The "Get Started" kit gives you a small concealer brush that is great with not only the powder foundation, but can also blend liquid concealer very well. If you have some problem zones, don't be afraid to touch it up with something beyond Bare Minerals. As for the using Warmth or not, it definitely adds definition, don't be afraid of the deep color! I am blonde and very fair but if I use just the right amount, it doesn't look like a fake tan, but highlights cheek bones and such (but if you want to fake a tan, it can also do the job).

Question

What would give best protection SPF, not dry out skin or leave skin shiny.

I use presscription Retian A. It leaves my skin sensitive and dry. The suncreen I use leaves my face shiny. I need a make up that will not dry out skin, with high SPF, cover imperfections, and not leave my face shiny. Presently using bareMinerals original SPF foundation medium Beige. Should I cange to Matte foundation. Or change to new line of cosmetics like Colorscience? Slo need moisturizer with Vitamins C & e, coenyme Q10, alpha lipoic acid, peptides. Need alpha hydroxy acid (glycolic, lactic) to exfoliate night and day. Antioxidants to prevent breakdown of collagen. Peptides. Need high suncreen out of purminerals, not leave face shiny. Cosmetics for dry, wrinkled skin, with high SPF, with setting spray. Do you have a product with vitamins c and e, coenyme q10, alpha lipoic, rentinol, alpha hycroxy acids for night and one for day with high SPF?

I have dry skin as well and have found good results with the following regiment that was recommended to me by an excellent dermatologist. She believes in "less is more" approach and encourages use of drugstore brands. I get compliments on my skin all the time so I know this routine works. For morning: I use Cerave Gentle Cleanser (better than Cetaphil in removing make up, dirt, etc) can be found at Walgreens or Rite Aide, target, etc, Skinceuticals CE Ferulic (awesome.., been using for three years) followed by Cerave Moisturizer, then Elta MD Physical SPF 41 sunscreen (this is a lightly tinted oil free mineral sunscreen that will not leave your skin white or shiny. Has high % of Zinc Oxide, the best type of sunscreen ingredient) I also use Clinique SuperDefense with SPF in the winter if I find Elta MD to be too drying. I also use and love BareMinerals foundation. I prefer the original because i found the Matte to be too drying.
At night, I use Clairsonic brush (really, really great) with Cerave Cleanser. Then apply prescription Retin A, followed by Cerave CREAM. That's it.
