Question

Better than Olay's version?

I already have the Olay version of this and think it's just "okay"... what makes the Clarisonic so much better, if anything? Has anyone used both? Thank you!

Yes! I have used the Shiseido manual brush, the Olay battery operated, and the rechargeable Clarisonic. In my opinion, the Clarisonic is by far the best. My face is so smooth and soft after using it - like it's been polished. I am 52 years old with combination, sometimes sensitive skin, and the Clarisonic has been absolutely wonderful! I love it! It's also small and light enough to take on my frequent travels.

I am an esthetician and at first I was a little skeptical of the Clarisonic. There are so many products and "toys" out on the market that do not really work. After looking into the Clarisonic I realized that what makes this product different from the Olay version is the "sonic" technology ( (sound waves). The Sonicare toothbrush works in the same way. I have a machine in my treatment room that also uses sonic technology (not in a brush form like this though). Sonic technology works by using sound waves to gently vibrate debris, oils, make-up up and out of the skin so that it can be effectively cleansed. The Carisonic brush also gently exfoliates the skin from the rotation of the brushes. So you are deep cleaning & exfoliating at the same time. I have seen a major difference in the skin of clients that use a Clarisonic on a daily basis. As far as I can tell the Olay version is just a rotating brush that does not have the sonic technology. So I'm sure the Olay version does an okay job at exfoliating the skin but it does not deep clean like the Clarisonic. I highly recommend this product! I don't sell these or make any sort of profit when I recommend these. I just think they are really awesome!

If you go to the Good Morning America website Beck Worley did a review which compared the two of them. That is how I decided to go with the Clarisonic.

In my opinion the Clarisonic is more "heavy duty", more professional and better made. Worth the extra bucks.

I didn't use the Olay version but I used the Pretika. The difference between the two products is like night and day. The Clairsonic is much gentler on the face and feels very nice. It doesn't dry out my face as much. The Mia2 is waterproof and charges via a magnetic charger that just sticks to the front of the unit. The two speeds and the t-timer are great and necessary features. My face feels like velvet and has really cleared up AND the normal oily skin I have had for my lifetime has been brought under control. If you are like me, you don't want to spend the $ on something that does the same thing as something more reasonably priced. Well in this case it is a world of difference. It is worth the extra money.

I have sensitive skin, and the Mia does not irritate my skin when I use the cleaning brush for sensitive skin. It also keeps my skin from breaking out!

I don't have oily skin but my skin is sensitive and acne prone and it works fine for me. I use only once a day though because otherwise it chaffs me.

Question

Is Skinstore an authorised dealer of the clarisonic mia and other clarisonic products?

This is because I read that only if you purchase the clarisonic products from the website itself or from authorised dealers, that I will have the product warranty from clarisonic. Thanks!

Yes. I had to return my Clarisonic Mia to the Clarisonic company within their 90-day policy, and they confirmed that I could do so because Skinstore was an authorized dealer.

This is normal speed, which if you have experienced the classic two speed version, this would be the highest setting on that model (high, but not really high speed if you have the plus, which is the only brush with the high (3rd) speed).

I would make sure your outlet is working. There is a magnet in the charger which keeps it attached. Purhaps make sure they are connecting. Also, I would go to the Clarisonic website to their customer service site.

Question

How small is the Mia. You keep saying the "new smaller Mia" .

I have the original larger one tjat I bought before you came out with the small one. Would I really benefit when I travel to purchase this new Clarisonic. How much extra weight would I save. I can carry the current Clarisonic without the holder. Please let me know the dimensions and weight of this new product, if it comes with any special European or other adaptors, if my Clarisonic or the Mia can be used on different electric current before your sale ends

Thanks, Olivia

The Mia is approximately a tad over 5-1/2" long x a tad over 2-1/2 inches wide. It probably weighs a few ounces. I don't have a scale that will weigh it except a large scale which doesn't really weigh it properly. I love it. It has just one speed, but it does what it is supposed to do!! Hope this helps!
