Question

Tell me how this unit works? Does it have a cord? How do you clean it? Is the tip small enough for the nose area ?

The unit is corded. It arrives with two different sizes of tips and two different sizes of tip covers. The small tip is great for the nose and I use it along the jaw line also. I also ordered the red tips which are coarse. It removes the top layer of the skin with the tips and the suction helps to stimulate collagen production. There is a small black filter which you rinse after each use. The DVD gives you excellent instructions. You can also watch an instructional video online.

Very easy to use. Yes it is corded. Wash & dry it, simple. Hard to use around nose area.

The other answers about cleaning and the cord are good so I will just add a note about using this on the nose area. The tip is small enough, it just takes some manipulating to get good suction on your nose. It takes a couple minuites, but I am able to treat my whole nose.

It is similar to how a man would shave his face, you listen for the suction as you draw lines on your face. It does have a cord. I haven't cleaned the unit yet but there is a washable filter you just clean every fourth time under tap water with soap. And there are two tips, one is small enough for around the nose.

I just got mine.. it's 20% off, so I'm gonna try it, if it's not worth I'll return it. So, the clear plastic cup has a hole on top and the microdermabrasion tip comes in the middle, so when you touch your skin it sucks it through the hole and the tip is polishing it, It seems very pawerful, it has a cord (not rechargeable) which is not very convenient, but I guess it has to be like that because of the dual action that requires more power. Also it is noisy. I tried it on my hands only and it seems to be working just as well as the professional treatments at the salon, but without the price which is ridiculous. The face tips are tiny like 5 mm or so, so they will work well for the nose area. Overall, looks good to me. Hope this helps.

answer 6
It does have a cord, you clean it by rinsing a small cloth filter. The small tip is ok for sides of the nose, the top of my nose doesn't seem to get suction. My nose is normal size. The vacuum seems to be good, the overall feel of this is cheap. It's made of hard plastic. I was expecting higher quality for the price.

It does help with acne. As a result of taking the dead skin off, it reduces skin clogs and thus, less breakouts.

I have had problems with acne since I was 11. The PMD does help. After I use it I cleanse my face with a foaming acne wash and apply a light moisture lotion.

I feel sure this will help pimples. It might not help with the root problem, but it will help by keeping the
skin exfoliated, and would probably help prevent the scarring I suffered with for so much of my life.

Can you clean out debris other than the washable filter to ensure that the machine does NOT clog? Does the filter ever get vacuumed into the machine?

All you need to do is wash the filter and rinse out the tip covers after each use. The filter does not get caught in the machine and there is no problem with clogs. You also receive another filter with each set of extra tips you order.

Don't think that's a possibility from how the machine is assembled. It doesn't look like there would be any cleaning, other than the filter, necessary or possible.

answer 3
As long as you have an amperage conversion kit, sure you can use the product there. Americans usually operate their small electrical appliances using a 110 volt amperage cord. But from what I've heard, people who live in countries that mainly deal with 240 volt amperage, all they do is purchase an amperage conversion kit and they are set to go. However, it might be worth a call to Skinstore's 1-800 number to see if Clarisonic has provided them with any worthwhile information concerning any adverse feedback they may have received from people who used the amperage converters. I hope this answer is of some help to you!

I have a rotating brush type device I like & use.Is there any reason to also purchase this device?Would there b additional benefits??any opinions??

I would like to know if there might b more or better results by using both devices on a schedule of course.??the brush type device I use now does do a good job in getting off my makeup compared to just washing my face with my hands and a product type cleaning lotion/cleanser for the face. I use the clarisonic on my face daily when I shower. It cleans very well. The PMD actually removes the top layer of the epidermis (microdermabrasion). This action refreshes the skin and stimulates collagen production. I love the PMDand use it every other day.

Personally speaking, I don't use RetinA. But I do have extremely sensitive and dry skin. Using a Clarisonic Mia actually makes my skin smoother, softer and it acts a little like a dermabrasion brush. The Mias' come with a "gentle brush" which is great for people who have cosmetic procedures or sensitive skin. The larger Clarisonic Brushes come with two speeds, a regular brush and a sensitive skin brush, as well as a few more types of cleansers that you can try to see how they work on your particular type of skin. I love my Mia because of the gentle but thorough way it cleanses my skin and I'd feel a little bit lost without mine!

Regular cleanser is fine. Afterwards I used a cell rebuilder (La Mer Serum) to repair the overabrasiveness. Topping that with Neosporin as I don't want to have scars from the device I expected would eliminate scars.
