Can using an SPF in an eye cream safe for the skin around the eyes? I have never used an eye cream with an SPF

I have always had a bad reaction to eye creams with SPF. I would just lightly layer my regular sunscreen over my eye cream when it's finished absorbing, and go about my day.

I find the eye creams with SPF irritating for my eyes. Yeah, protecting the skin around the eyes from the sun is definitely an issue! I go with sunglasses for now until they come up with a gentler formula.
