I've been using the big regular strivectin everywhere including eyes, is there any reason to buy eye cream other than less peppermint oil?

It shouldn't if you clean under your eyes with eye make-up remover. You could use the remover clothes by Neutrogena or the drug store knock offs. They are pretty good at taking off even mineral make up if you are careful about it.
