not sure but I did not see any oils listed in the ingredients, I can say that I tend to break out from many products and have have combo/oily skin this product has never caused me to breakout. It is a thick base but it actually clears breakouts and prevents them. Good for colder weather months.

There is no oil in this product. It's a really great! If you are a first time user I would suggest going with the II or I cream, unless your skin has had prior exposure to high content glycolic products. And if you are concerned about the oil because of issues with acne, I know from experience that this really helps reduce breakouts.

Question

Is this product also useful to repair the scars caused by acne?

Since my skin keeps growing new acne in the same place again and again, some areas on my face are always red and seems like they are forming scars... So I really need a product that can help me to repair and prevent acne growing, is this the one I should buy? Thanks a lot.

I do not believe this product will help prevent future acne, but once you are past that, it may help with scar exfoliation. Try using alcohol to clean the acne spot, then apply just a touch of neopsporin, see if that does not help reduce your breakouts.

This cream is awesome!! It will help greatly with acne and old scarring but it is very strong at level 111, and I would recommend working up to this level. If not you may end up with burning and redness. The cream is thick and I find it best for colder weather overnight use, try the MD Forte lotion 111 in the warmer weather which is a light version of this and water based.

I have been using M.D. Forte Facial Cream III for at least 15 years. I cannot answer about the acne, but my skin does peel slightly with this cream. I would get a product specifically for acne.

Question

Can this be used with Prevage serum?

I use Prevage serum. Is it compatible to use this at the same time? Prevage is an antioxidant with no exfoliating properties, but I am worried the AHAs in the cream might somehow conflict with the properties of the serum. I also use the Prevage Day cream with SPF 30 and Night Cream. Can I use these all together without inhibiting the effectiveness of any of the products?

I have used other products with MD Forte Cream 1 and 2 and never had any problem. I would not use the 2 night creams one on top of the other though .
