The product works differently on different skin types. If you have dry or sensitive skin or skin unaccustomed to the strength of the c at 20 percent, then likely you will initially have redness appear or some tingling after usage. Usually, the redness and other side effects of using a c serum at high potency subside after regular usage. The skin must become accustomed to the new facial serum. Use a moisturizer after the serum has absorbed into the skin and this will help.

not if you build up to the 20%. Start with 10% C for a month - then go to the 20%, or begin to use it off and on with the 10% a few days a week with each, and you shoudl be fine.

No, it did not have that effect on me, and I use it every morning. I use a prescription retinoid at night. But with that considered, I have relatively think skin.

The product is clear. If it has been in storage or sitting in light for a long period, it could turn yellowish-orange.

Mine is clear, but if I hold it to the sun, it can give the illusion of a shade of orange, but over all I'd say it should be clear. I'm on my 2nd bottle and both have been clear.

Yes, it starts out almost clear with a yellow tint but as it oxidizes, it will turn a bit yellow. If it is really orange, I would throw it out because it's too oxidized to be effective anymore. Vitamin C serums need to be used within a few months after opening.

10% is for thinner, more sensitive skin. I would recommend using the highest precentage of Vitamin C that your skin can comfortably tolerate. This Obagi product dooes not dry skin out. I also wear moisturizer over it.

The difference is just the level of Vitamin C. You should start out with a lower level and work your way up. Those with very sensitive skin may never get up to the 20%.

I would not have any qualms about using this if I were pregnant. I'd be more concerned about using Vitamin A derivatives during pregnancy such as reinoids. I don't think the ingredients contain anything harmful. Visit this website www.ewg.org and do a search for "safe cosmetics." This should give you more infro (although expect to be freaked out, as EWG errs on the cautious side). You will learn more than you everb want to know about skincare chemicals.

There is not any reason why you cannot. After the c serum, moisturize with a good night cream. Wait a few minutes to make sure the c serum has absorbed into the skin.

Yes you can. Vitamin C absorbs into the skin and stays for several days. You will still have skin benefits in the morning and throughout the day. It also shouldn't irritate your skin. Great to layer with other night treatments.

My best guess is that you would apply the Vitamin C serum first and then the exfoderm. Generally I do not use exfoliants in the morning because they make your skin more sun sensitive - this is just personal preference. In a similar line - Jan Marini, you apply the Vitamin C first then follow with the exfoliant.
