Yes, it starts out almost clear with a yellow tint but as it oxidizes, it will turn a bit yellow. If it is really orange, I would throw it out because it's too oxidized to be effective anymore. Vitamin C serums need to be used within a few months after opening.

The difference is just the level of Vitamin C. You should start out with a lower level and work your way up. Those with very sensitive skin may never get up to the 20%.

After the toner

My best guess is that you would apply the Vitamin C serum first and then the exfoderm. Generally I do not use exfoliants in the morning because they make your skin more sun sensitive - this is just personal preference. In a similar line - Jan Marini, you apply the Vitamin C first then follow with the exfoliant.

I would not have any qualms about using this if I were pregnant. I'd be more concerned about using Vitamin A derivatives during pregnancy such as reinoids. I use it under my eyes, not too close to where my nose is, but definately around the outer eye area and never on the lid.
