You can use any skin care line with the Clarisonic. Do not feel obligated to their skin care line. I use Murad with my Clarisonic.

Yes. My preference is Philosophy Purity in the evening to remove my make-up and Philosophy Microdelivery in the morning for an enhanced exfoliation.

Yes, absolutely. You'll receive a sample Clarisonic cleanser if you buy the classic version but I didn't like that cleanser and have used various cleansers with my Clarisonic classic; gels, creams, liquids, and solids even. Use whatever cleaner(s) you like best and the Clarisonic will make it work even better!

I do, but think it's most effective with a gel or foaming cleanser.

Yes! I use my own cleansers and it works great. In fact, I recently started using Kinerese line for sun damaged skin and it works great with the Clarisonic.

Does this kit (Clarisonic skin care system) come with two separate brushes or just the one sensitive brush?

Mine came with the just the one for sensitive skin. I think this is good because it might be good to let your skin get used to it with the sensitive brush head. When mine needed replacing I ordered the regular one. There isn't that much difference. The sensitive skin brush head is just a little softer.

Yes but only a sample of the cleansing lotion. You can use your own cleanser if you want.

answer 2
Yes, the trial size of the cleansing lotion is included. Its not a great one. I stuck to my usual deep pore cleanser and got better results!

One brush head included with the tool, brush must be replaced after every 90 days, costly affair, but worth it!

I have the classic size but wish I had the one with the body brush attachment- especially during the summer and for use with sunless tanners.

I asked at my dermatologist office, was recommended to buy the larger one for daily use, that the diffferent speeds (Mia is only 1 speed) would be something you would want as you progress in your use. For the record I did not buy my Clarisonic at the Dr's office so this was not a sales pitch. The Mia is a good option for travel but with the larger brush the thinking was that as new brushes come out you would be able to use them on the larger unit, not on the Mia. There really was not that much difference in price. I am pleased with the full size.

Question

Charger problem

Anyone know if the classic charger can be used on mia?
or not because they are too different in size?
As I am trying to figure out which size should I get!
I love the mia one, handy and effective as the classic one.
However the classic one got a nice charger and different speeds to choose.
Any comments?

Mia has its own charger. Never use the Classic charger with the mia. I have both the Classic for home as I use the heavy duty brush on my skin in the shower. The mia is in my suitcase pack ready to go on the road. If you don't travel much, get the Classic.

I don't believe that the Mia can be used on the Classic charger. I have the Classic and I love it, but some pros and cons. I have never used the other speed, so that feature was just something added that I paid for, but do not use. The charger is very nice to have and the charges hold for quite some time. Both my husband and I use the Clarisonic twice daily and we have to re-charge overnight every week.

Question

milia

I am 63 and altho I have not been good to my skin over the years, I am told I have "great" skin. Never smoked but sunbathed without suncreen for many years! I have milia on my cheeks and forehead. I have been using my Clairisonic Classic for about 2 months and LOVE it! What else can I do to get RID of the milia?

I don't know what milia is, but if you use your Clarisonic with a stronger exfoliator it will help any skin. I also like TNS Essential Serum, and the Pure Silk daily and once a week with my Quasar. La Roche Posay products are great too, especially Redermic and the sunscreen.

You might try using Avene's Professional Akerat Smoothing Exfoliating Cream... it's worked wonders on my keratosis pilaris on my upper arms. I know it's meant for body use but I bet it would really help with the milia you're suffering from. Also make sure you regularly exfoliate with something besides the Clarisonic such as ARCONA's Golden Grain or Red Raspberry Gommage - these are excellent products for weekly in-shower exfoliating and all-natural too!

Question

Your narrative says to charge once every 30 uses. I put mine back on the cradle each time. Should I not be doing that?

I never read that instruction to only charge once every 30 uses... I put mine back in the charger after each use, too, and so far nothing has happened to my classic Clarisonic. I just don't have enough space in my tiny bathroom to put the device anywhere but back in the charger after every use! I wouldn't worry about it too much, so far so good for me and I've had mine a little over a year.
