Questions & Answers for MD Forte M.D. Forte Facial Cleanser III

Question

Is this product okay for sensitive skin?

I am 53, have very sensitive reactive skin but have used MD Forte Cleansing Gel for oily skin for many years, then at age 50, switched to Cleanser I, which was not potent enough for me, then went to Cleanser II, which works fine, without irritation but I still get clogged pores and the occasional blemish. Would Cleanser III be the right product for me?

I think that MD Forte cleanser III might be too strong for you if you have sensitive reactive skin. It is noticably stronger (and I have normal skin) and can agitate the skin if left on for more than 1-2 minutes. You could always give it a try but I think it will irritate you skin. Stick to cleanser II and buy a good rejuvenation cream for use at night. That should sort the clogged pores and blemishes out

If the Cleanser II isn't bothering you, I would switch to Cleanser III. I find that my pores clog really quickly if I am not using this product on a regular basis.

I have not used the Jan Marini products by my med spa that I go to sells this brand. When talking to the technologist who did my microdermabrasion, she recommended this brand but after comparing ingredients I knew MD Forte was better. She did apply the Jan Marini tinted moisturizer after the procedure and I hated the way it left my skin looking incredibly oily all day. This one bottle of MD Forte usually lasts me 6 months.

Question

What is the difference between MD Forte products and Vivite? Is Vivite better because it is newer?

Should I be using Skinceuticals Vitamin C formula for wrinkles...I am 48 yo - have sun damage - but now stay away from the sun. I used to use MD Forte and am not sure if I should return to it, Vivite, or Skinceuticals? Thank you.

I am 35 and have been using MD Forte for about 5 years. I was not blessed with extensive sun screen use when I was a child so I have a lot of sun damage. I know my skin is 100% better because I use MD Forte. I recently had microdermabrasion and the technologist repeatedly commented on how young and beautiful my skin was. I asked her what products she usually recommends and the MD Forte III product was better. I also use the III lotion with vitamin C which she recommended as a MUST. My dermatologist only sells this brand in his office. I have also received many compliments from him about the youth of my skin. I am not sure about the other three products you are talking about.

Question

Vivite Equivalent?

A similar question has already been asked, but the answer wasn't quite what I was looking for. I currently use the M.D. Forte Facial Cleanser III, but was wondering if there was an equivalent cleanser from Vivite.

I used to use MD Forte Cleanser II. I tried the Jan Marini Biogycolic Cleanser and had great results in a short period of time. Another cleanser I tried made my face break out in a rash. This cleared it up right away. Also, Jan Marini does not test on animals!
