Questions & Answers for AFIRM AFIRM 2X

Question

I used this product for 5 nights but my skin became red and started burning so I have stopped using it for the past 4 nights.

The redness and burning are now gone BUT my face is SO DRY and tight and I have 5 times more wrinkles than before. What do I do? Is this part of the process?

Try the Afirm 1X instead. Your face is probably way too sensitive. You can apply moisturizing lotion if it's too drying, about 20 minutes after applying Afirm. Still... you definitely sound like you need Afirm 1X instead of 2X.

Looks like it is too strong for you. You should gradually build tolerance over a period of time. Start using it twice a week at night and if the dryness doesn't bother you increase the number of time per week. In the morning use a good moisturizer.

Question

Is Afirm being discontinued by the manufacturer?

Afirm 2x and 1x are the most AMAZING creams I have ever used. They are the only creams that actually do what they say! Indeed, I am very surprised that Afirm is not more widely publicised/known - it is not available here in the UK at all.

I purchased Afirm 2x for the first time in late January/early February 2014 from SkinStore. Since then, it has single-handedly removed fine lines and faded most of the melasma/pigmentation from my face. Even old acne scars have either disappeared completely, or they have lessened significantly. I have used Retin A (for acne scaring) and Renova (for fine lines) in the past, as well as most of the premium skincare brands. However, Afirm is far superior and has had a marked effect on my skin in such a short space of time (53 years old, very pale - tending towards couperose on the cheeks , normal/dry with fine pores, small amount of brown pigmentation/melasma in several places and 20-year old acne scars from prescription steroids - I was fortunate not to have teenage acne). Both my husband and my sister have noticed the changes to my skin; my sister even asked if I had had fillers to remove my acne scars.

If anyone knows whether Afirm is being discontinued by the manufacturer rather than just SkinStore, I will be grateful if you would post a reply. Thank you in anticipation.
