Until you build up a tolerance, use less of it, less often. Try only using it every other night for a week or two. And remember that AHAs like this increase your sun sensitivity. So wear this at night and sunblock during the day.

Nothing will completely exfoliate away a pitted scar, although something like this will help lessen its appearance by smoothing out the skin. However, it can easily be filled with a tiny injection of Hyaluronic Acid or Collagen. Depending on the depth of the scar, something like this may be all you need.

I did a bit of researching on the net, and found a website that states that Neostrata products have a ph range of between 3.5 - 3.9. The glycolic acid in the products has been partially neutralised, (buffered), so they're not too harsh on the skin, but are still effective. Hope this helps.
