You don't need them - this product is full of anti oxidants - you are wasting money to use both.

I would suggest speaking with your dermatologist or who ever helps you with skin care. I do use TNS with either vitamin C or retinol. I put the TNS on first, give it a few minutes to soak in, then put on the other. Hope this helps?

The rule of thumb is lighter products first. TNS ESSENTIAL SERUM IS ALWAYS FIRST. I use also and apply other skin medica products over after it is absorb for 15 minutes into skin. I'm 57 and like to add the dermal repair, tns cermide treatment or their c and e product. I find if I don't wait the product I add over is not absorbed by skin and flakes off.

You use under retin A at night and after cleansing in the am both followed by moisturizer. There is a lot number on bottom of bottle, you can call skin medica to get expiration date with lot number.

I am and have been using retin A first and then the Essential serum-works fabulous-
I have never seen an expiration but if you use it am and pm or just once a day there is
no problem. If you store it and only use it occasionally you could have a problem. To
get the full benefits at least once a day is necessary. AM and PM is wonderful. But
if the price is an issue I am sure once a day will still give benefits. When I think I'm running
low I will go to once a day until my refill comes.

I don't know if there is an answer-depending on the size of your face-that would make a difference- you use it am and pm - you would have to buy it-mark down the date you started and when the bottle is finished -note the date-that would give you an accurate answer.

I use Retin A before I use the SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum. I know that the Retin A penetrates down to the level of the skin where it speeds cell turnover rate. IMHO, I just feel like once the skin's barrier has been broken, it's easier for the Serum to get to the deeper layers where change in the skin actually occurs.

Good Question-I have a few trouble spots-my dermatologist gave me retinA samples-
I told him I was using TNS Essential Serum which was recommended by his office staff-
he said "No Problem" use the retinA every other night and then apply Essential Serum-
I sometimes use it every night-apply the serum and then apply TNS Retinol. I have had
no adverse side effects. (the RetinA he gave me is only applied to special areas-not the
whole face.)

There is a certain smell attached to the orange gel that's released but after a while
you get used to it. I have asked other people-even the doctor and he was familiar
with the question and acknowledged it existed. But who cares-as long as it does the
job - which it does. After a while you don't even smell it anymore.

it's normal. The TNS Recovery gel has a bad smell because it has high amounts of protein in it. Just remember this stuff comes from donated cultured fetal skin cells. Don't let that scare you away from the product, because no babies were harmed and they only need one tissue sample and from that they can culture the skin cells in a lab for a long time without ever having to get another tissue sample. This stuff works amazingly. They have been using this stuff in other forms for wound healing and scarless wound healing for years. Over several months this stuff will boost collagen, increase the thickness of the outer layer of skin, improve tone and texture of skin, and give your skin a youthfull glow. It is also very healing on minor cuts or scraps. I am a guy and I simply love this stuff after I shave my face. It keeps me from getting virtually zero razor bumps, redness, or ingrown hairs. I've never experienced that from any product I've tried.

The most dramatic results with this product will be seen after 6 months of use, but you will notice positive results after a month or two. The serum version really will help speed up the positive results over the plain recovery complex.

does this product contain Vitamin C or do you carry a TNS with Vitamin C?

It does contain a form of vitamin c that is very gentle but effective. I could never use their c and e product with out putting something else under it as it is very strong for my sensitive skin. The vitamin C and E complex has 15% stabilized C and E and it works really fast on age spots. The skin medica people said light stinging is expected and goes away with time. Their dermal repair cream also has high levels of c and e. Don't let the prices scare you as if used correctly should last a long time. I happen to over use and find the results are worth every penny! I do not work for just a very happy user with dramatic results using once a day.

I don't know how much C and E - I think it uses different antioxidants. I can tell you that I used to use CE Ferulic and switched to this and like it alot better. It is smoother and I had better results. I was told not to use any other antioxidants because this product is full of them.

I believe the reason for all in one is that it is easier and the proper amounts are released
and everything is a one shot deal. I do not believe any percentages are being compromised.
I have done it both ways and the all in one is simpler and faster - actually - a no thought
process.

I use an AHA in the morning and the TNS Essential Serum at night alone with a lotion over it. I would not combine the two as some products can cancel the active ingredients of each other out causing the product not to work.

Yes, you should do fine using this product with an AHA. SkinMedica recommends that you always apply the TNS first, so you may want to use the TNS during the day and the AHA product at night.
