SkinCeuticals states that CE Ferulic is for more of a normal to dry skin type where as Phloretin is for more normal to oily skin types. Both are great antioxidants they are just sourced from different things.

The Phloretin should be ok after using a Clarisonic, but Vitamin C serums should be used during the day for best results.

I have used both Phloretin CF and C E Ferulic am on clean skin, after using Retin A .05% the previous evening with no ill effects at all. However, I didn't ask my Dermatologist before doing so, which would probably be the best thing to do.

Phloretin is a great antioxidant product and it will help to gradually fade dark spots over time. To fade them faster try the SkinCeuticals Pigment Regulator.

Phloretin CF for sure. The only one of the two that would help with elasticity and fade brown spots. The CE Ferulic is mainly for sun and environmental pollution protection.

I would get the Phloretin CF and a good Retinol product to combat fine lines and wrinkles.

To me the ultimate non-invasive combination is: Vitamin C, Retinol or Retin-A, Copper peptide, moisturizer, Red LED light therapy.

My Regimen:

AM: Vitamin C, Moisturizer, SPF

PM: Copper peptide, Retinol, moisturizer

Weekly: Baby Quasar MD (Red) light therapy 2x a week

Phloretin CF is for Normal/Oily or problematic skin with additional benefit of reducing hyperpigmentation.
Ferulic is good for Normal/dry or sensitive skin with additional benefit of lipid replenishment

It is recommend for oily skin, however it sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to it. Try using a smaller amount every three days in the morning on completely dry skin. This product can irritate if the skin is damp from cleansing. If irritation continues this is not the product for you.

Phloretin CF sure can be used with the A.G.E. Interrupter. Apply Phloretin immediately after cleansing/toning, then give it 3-5 minutes to fully sink in. After that, you can apply any other products on top. Once Phloretin sinks in, it's IN and can't be wiped off with products that follow, so feel free to put A.G.E. Interrupter right on top or use some other products in between. When layering products, the general rule of thumb is to layer from lightest consistency to thickest consistency and wait a short time after each layer to allow it to sink in.
